We're excited to announce our latest update, packed with powerful new features designed to enhance your experience. This release brings significant improvements to LiveForm, stronger security measures, and compliance with the latest age-appropriate design regulations.
1️⃣ LiveForm Improvement
In this update, the LiveForm feature has been significantly enhanced. We have incorporated several UI and functional improvements to further enhance the user experience.
- Improved Camera Quality: The camera resolution has been upgraded from 640px to 1920px, significantly boosting OCR accuracy.
- Expanded Browser Compatibility: Browser compatibility has been greatly expanded to ensure smoother usage across a variety of devices.
- Brand Identity Integration: ARGOS's brand identity has been applied to provide a consistent UI, and we have improved irregular verification errors and English labels.
2️⃣ Addition of Age Group Field and Partial Data Deletion
The digital-native generation, who have been naturally exposed to digital devices from a young age, has now grown into children and adolescents. With the increase in online activities following COVID-19, the risk of personal data breaches has risen. Children and adolescents are less aware of the risks of personal data exposure compared to adults and are less experienced in exercising their rights, thus requiring special protection. Countries like the UK and the US are strengthening regulations to protect children's personal data. The UK has introduced the Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC), and the US has reinforced the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to protect the personal data of children under 13. In line with these changes, ARGOS has added an age group field to enhance the protection of digital-native generation's personal data.
🧍Addition of Age Group Field and Partial Data Deletion
- Addition of Age Group Field: The age group is classified based on the user's date of birth, calculating the age in full years. The age groups are: Minor (13 and under), Early Teen (13-15), Teen (16-17), and Adult (18+). Age group data is displayed on the submission dashboard and detailed pages.
- Partial Data Deletion: To comply with GDPR regulations, identifiable personal information is deleted, retaining only demographic information (e.g., date of birth in YYYY/MM format, gender, age group, nationality). This is designed to maintain the minimum necessary information while protecting individual privacy, in line with GDPR's 'data minimization' principle.
✅ Steps to Enable This Option
- Navigate to [Settings] → User Policy.
- Enable the Partial Data Deletion option.
- Once activated, personal data related to submissions will be deleted upon submission deletion.
To comply with these strengthened regulations, ARGOS is enhancing its age verification capabilities. An option to verify the actual age of users residing in the United States will be added soon. This will enable us to provide safer and more robust services to our US customers.
3️⃣ Secure Data Transmission
To enhance the protection of your data, we have added two new options. These options help safeguard your data from unauthorized access and minimize the risk of data breaches, allowing you to use our services with confidence. Additionally, we have encrypted all data transmitted between ARGOS LiveForm and the server to further strengthen security. We want to assure you that we are continuously working to protect your data.
1. Query String Option: Encrypts the values of data transmitted in the URL query string using AES-256. For example, the email, user ID, and other custom fields (cf1, cf2, cf3) are encrypted as follows:
🔥 Important: When using Query String, you can use either plain text or encrypted text, and it must be applied consistently to all values (email, userid, cf1, cf2, cf3).
2. Secure Data Transfer Option: Encrypts and decrypts data using AES-256 and PKI for API methods (POST/SUBMISSION, GET/SUBMISSION, PUT/SUBMISSION, WEBHOOK).
✅ Steps to Enable This Option
- Navigate to [Settings] → Access Management tab.
- Enable the Secure Data Transfer option.
4️⃣ LiveForm Private Link
Enhance security by preventing the reuse of authenticated URLs. To minimize the sharing of links with others, generated links are only valid for 3 minutes after the initial authentication begins. This feature enhances link security and prevents unnecessary link sharing.
✅ Steps to Enable This Option
- Navigate to [Settings] → Access Management.
- Enable the Private Link feature from the top right of the LiveForm URL options.
🔥 Important
• When using Private Link, a tokenid is required. Ensure you enter the tokenid when using Private Link. If a user needs to retry, please renew the tokenid.
